The Jordanian groom, aged 27, who holds American residency, and his wife Sabreen holds American citizenship, told CNN in Arabic: “I have been working for 4 years in the United States, and I met my wife there, and we got married about a year ago, but we We did not hold a wedding, and it was postponed more than once due to my own circumstances, and more than 5 months ago we resolved to travel to Jordan, because my family is there for the wedding, and I booked a wedding hall in Amman on March 27, but all plans were canceled after the Corona virus crisis.” .

Al-Aouneh also explained in his speech, that he was not aware of the quarantine procedures upon his arrival at the airport, as he came to Amman with his wife, who also brought with her the wedding supplies, including the white dress, which she had bought months ago, adding: “Unfortunately, since we were quarantined in the hotel, There was a lot of talk about our presence, even though our marriage was contracted in America and registered with the American government and with a sheikh and we have the documents to that, so I thought that the months of marriage, even for a few minutes, should be in consultation with the parents.

In addition, he indicated that the entire marriage ceremony was ready from booking the hall and printing the wedding invitations, as well as the arrival of the bride’s family from America two days after their arrival, but the trip was canceled, and he was scheduled to return to America on April 3 next due to his limited leave, but The flight was also cancelled.

The duo received a gift from Jordan's King Abdullah II, his wife Queen Rania, and the Jordanian Crown Prince, Prince Hussein, and the Jordanian "Kingdom" channel shared a video clip, showing officials presenting the gift to the newlyweds.
