Boris Johnson gets married in a small family party
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office announced today, Sunday, that he married his fiancee Carrie Symonds in an unannounced ceremony that took place at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday, confirming media reports.
Johnson's office said: "He married the prime minister and Mrs. Symonds yesterday afternoon at a small ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer.”

The British newspaper, "The Sun", reported that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson married his fiancée, Carrie Symonds, in an undisclosed ceremony at Westminster Cathedral, today, Saturday.
The newspaper said the guests received last-minute invitations to the ceremony in central London, and even senior members of Johnson's office were unaware of the wedding plans.
Weddings in England are currently limited to 30 people due to anti-Covid-19 restrictions.
Johnson, 56, and Symonds, 33, have lived together in Downing Street since Johnson became prime minister in 2019, and last year they announced their engagement and that they are expecting a baby.
Their son, Wilfred Lowery Nicholas Johnson, was born last April.
