Her Highness Sheikha Sanaa Al Maktoum shares moments of happiness with orphaned and underprivileged children at The Green Planet - the closed rainforest in Dubai

Her Highness Sheikha Sanaa Al Maktoum recently visited the only indoor rainforest in Dubai - The Green Planet - with 15 orphans and a number of other less fortunate children. The visit was arranged in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Society, which is currently taking care of the children.

During the visit, the children enjoyed seeing a wide range of beautiful and exotic creatures in The Green Planet, including the only Benturing animal in the area. The children also had very interesting experiences such as thunderstorms in the rainforest and the experience of night creatures during which they were able to watch nocturnal animals active during the day

It is worth noting that Her Highness Sheikha Sanaa is greatly interested in empowering women and educating children, and she is one of the pioneers in effective work to identify the needs of women and children, as she created and sold a painting entitled 63'4 Donate its value at auction  Art 4 Sight Organized by Noor Dubai and Sotheby's to help raise money to help the visually challenged, it also celebrated the UAE National Day with children of determination at Al Noor Training Center and held a lunch for orphans in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Society. In addition, Sheikha Sanaa is keen to visit schools in Dubai and contribute to reading programs by making impactful donations to libraries, and has opened the new clinic at Fakeeh University Hospital. Commenting on the visit, Her Highness Sheikha Sanaa said: “I was pleased to host a distinguished group of children from the Red Crescent Society in cooperation with The Green Planet. That visit gave me a wonderful feeling when I saw the joy and enthusiasm in their eyes while they got acquainted with the beautiful vital sections of the dome and interacted with the animals and birds in it. .
