His Royal Highness, heir to the Duke of Luxembourg, heads his country's expedition to Expo 2020

Within the framework of Expo 2020 Dubai, His Royal Highness, heir to the Duke of Luxembourg, headed a mission to promote tourism in Dubai, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism and Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises His Excellency Lex Delice, from 6 to 8 November 2021. The mission participated in the “Luxembourg Tourist Days” event and a party Made in Luxembourg highlights the quality and diversity of business that SMEs offer in Luxembourg.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by a delegation comprising many entities active in the field of tourism, in addition to the National Tourism Promotion Agency - Luxembourg Tourism, and the Luxembourg Convention Bureau - the official representative of the Grand Duchy for the promotion of professional events.

His Royal Highness, together with the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, inaugurated a workshop entitled "Travel Experiences and Inspiring Meetings in Luxembourg", which provided an opportunity to showcase Luxembourg's potential in luxury tourism and entrepreneurship tourism to travel agents in the UAE. The main theme of the workshop was “Inspirational places and meetings” that will increase the desire of travelers to visit Luxembourg. At the same time, the workshop provided an opportunity for travel agents in the UAE to exchange ideas with tourism experts from Luxembourg, and contributed to their awareness of the main attractions of the destination.

Luxembourg's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai represents an ideal opportunity to introduce the world to the capabilities and expertise of Luxembourg tourism companies. Where the General Directorate of Tourism organized the “Luxembourg Tourist Days” event from 8 to November 10 Within the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo Dubai, which included innovative pavilions for various exhibitors from the travel and tourism sector to highlight their innovative and diversified works. A “Luxembourg Sky Swing” has also been established that will take visitors to the pavilion on a virtual journey through Luxembourg, and a number of tour guides will attend to provide additional information about the landmarks of the destination.

The delegation visited the various pavilions at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, including the pavilion of the United Arab Emirates, which hosts the global event, and the Dubai Exhibition Center.
