The results of a new study published in the scientific journal (Physiology and Behavior) found that going up and down the stairs for ten minutes may eliminate the need for coffee in the morning in order to give you some energy.
The authors of the study indicated that adults who went up and down stairs for 50 minutes had more energy compared to those who consumed XNUMX milligrams of caffeine, which is equivalent to a can of soda.


The researchers reported that these results are especially important for office workers who have problems getting up from their desks, as these results will motivate them to do so.
In the experiment, the researchers targeted 18 women, aged between 18-23 years, and asked them to undergo some tests after consuming 50 mg of caffeine and after going up stairs for about 10 minutes.
The researchers found that participants who climbed stairs had greater motivation to work and increased activity compared to those who took caffeine.
Physical activity is accompanied by a wave of energy, although it is temporary for a period after exercise only, but in return, taking 50 milligrams of coffee did not leave this effect on the participants.
The researchers stressed that there is a need to do more research and scientific experiments on the subject, which helps them confirm the relationship. This will really help office workers who do not have time to get out of work, so moving them between roles using the stairs will be the best exercise.
