Al-Muhanna explained that “incidents of killing children are a serious matter, and the causes and motives of the facts that prompted the accused to commit the crime must be studied, and the Iraqi Ministry of Interior plays a social role; Because it has become close to the citizen through a number of police institutions, most notably the local police, the juvenile police, the community police, and the family and child protection police.”

A mother’s killing of her two children is a murder that transcends the instinctive motives of a person and is mostly explained only by the presence of a psychological defect, as the mother may have hallucinations or delusions accompanied by severe depression, through which she thought that her children would live in pain, and because she could not bear to see them suffer and suffer, she rushed to kill them to save them. of pain.”
