Signs of Laylat al-Qadr according to the Sunnah

Laylat al-Qadr is better than a thousand months, but the Night of Decree was not specified by God Almighty in an explicit text. Rather, all we know is that it is the night on which the Noble Qur’an was revealed to the Messenger Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, but the Prophetic Sunnah is the only thing left to us by the Prophet of this nation. So that we strive to seek it after God has hidden its date from His creation from His faithful servants, and the Muslims strive in the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan with supplication and good deeds, asking for forgiveness and fervently pleading with God Almighty, says Dr. Magdy Ashour, advisor to the Mufti of Egypt. There are hadiths that reveal the signs of Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months, and there are only a few days left from the Holy Ramadan, so let us strive to revive the Night of Decree so that we may obtain its great bounty that is mentioned in the verses of the book.

Signs of the Night of Power

It is one night in one month of a whole year, it is Laylat al-Qadr in the month of fasting, the blessed month of Ramadan, and it is a night that is better than a thousand months. In it, God revealed the greatest book of human knowledge to the greatest prophet, a guidance to humanity. It is a night when the angels descend to the earth to shake hands with its people until the rising of the sun. Congratulations to those who won it and its great reward.
Although the Night of Decree is hidden during the odd days of the last ten or seven days of Ramadan, when Al-Bukhari narrated from the hadith of Ibn Umar - may God be pleased with him - that men from the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, were shown the Night of Decree in a dream in the last seven days, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “I see your dreams have been complicit in the last seven, so whoever seeks it, let him search for it in the last seven.” However, there are signs of it, and the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - has guided us to it.
There was a difference of opinion regarding the specification of the Night of Decree, noting that what most scholars agreed on is the twenty-seventh night, adding that those who saw that the Night of Decree is on the twenty-seventh of Ramadan used as evidence the hadith of Zir bin Hubaish, who says: I said to Ubayy bin Ka’b: Al-Hawal will hurt the night of fate, he said: God forgives the father of Abdulrahman. With what do you say that, Aba Al-Mundhir? He said: «By the verse that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, told us, or by the sign that the sun is rising.”

He pointed out that Abu Huraira said that the Night of Decree is in the month of Ramadan and not in the rest of the year, noting that the well-known correct sayings as al-Qurtubi, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said that it is in the last ten days of Ramadan, which is the saying of Malik, al-Shafi’i, al-Awza’i and Ahmad, indicating that other people said that it is a night The twenty-first and Al-Shafi’i inclined to it, and the correct view is that it is in the last ten days without specifying, and the wisdom of concealing it is so that people strive to worship in all of the last ten days, just as he concealed the middle prayer in the five daily prayers and his greatest name among his most beautiful names.

There are seven signs distinguishing Laylat al-Qadr, through which it is possible to know the Night of Decree, which was revealed by Dr. Magdy Ashour, the scientific advisor to the Mufti of the Republic, explaining that the Night of Decree is in the last ten days of Ramadan, when it was proven that Aisha - may God be pleased with her - said: The Messenger of God was He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, adheres to the last ten days of Ramadan, and says: “Seek the Night of Decree in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari.

Signs of the Night of Power
The advisor to the Mufti hinted that Laylat al-Qadr has signs, the first of which is that a person becomes calm in the soul, and secondly, that a person feels a turn to God Almighty, and thirdly that the sky is clear, and fourthly, that the wind temperature is moderate, and fifth that meteors and meteors do not descend on it, and sixth that the person reconciles in it with supplications. He did not say it before, and seven in the morning we find the sun without rays and its shadow is light.
