She continued, "Something has obviously changed, and I was disappointed when I found out what had happened, so I apologise. Everyone who knows me knows that what happened does not reflect what I believe in and what I wish for our program.”

“I would not have been able to achieve the success that I have achieved without your contribution,” Ellen DeGeneres added in her letter, and affirmed her commitment not to repeat what happened. Eileen said that she was pleased with the problems that had occurred and brought her to her attention, noting that she and Warner Bros. would take the necessary steps to rectify the matter, according to the results of the internal investigation.

But within hours of Ellen's apology, another BuzzFeed article was published containing new allegations about what happened behind the scenes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "According to the scores of women and men who worked behind the scenes, the office was a venue for harassment and misconduct by top executive producers," the article reads. Fingers were pointed at executive producer Ed Glavin who, prior to the publication of the last article, had indicated that he was likely to be leaving the show.

Warner Bros. released a statement noting that allegations about workplace culture are taken seriously. The statement continued, "Although not all allegations are true, we are disappointed that the preliminary results of the investigation indicated some shortcomings in the day-to-day management of work." The statement, obtained by ET in its US version, indicated that some changes were made regarding the work of the program team to address the issues raised. The statement emphasized that Warner Bros. and Eileen reaffirm their commitment to providing a workplace based on respect and inclusion.
