His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court, Mr. Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Saudi Pavilion participating in “Expo 2020 Dubai”, officially inaugurated the works and activities of the pavilion, in a ceremony held today, Friday (October 1, 2021 AD) at the pavilion’s headquarters, in the presence of the Ambassador of Khadim The Two Holy Mosques in the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil, and the Commissioner-General of the Saudi Pavilion, Eng. Hussein Hanbaza, and a group of ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, officials and cultural figures from the world.

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri moved between the sections of the pavilion, briefing him on its various programs and activities that reflect the vivid image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are divided into four main pillars that include nature, people, heritage and investment opportunities, in addition to an energy and sustainability station, a brilliant presence of traditional Saudi crafts, and folkloric performances. And famous dishes that represent different regions of the Kingdom.

His Excellency expressed his pride in what he saw in the pavilion of rich creative content, presented by the young men and women of the country participating in the pavilion, and who conveyed an honorable image of the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their lofty and welcoming values ​​to the world. His Excellency added that the pavilion “translates the Kingdom’s growth and prosperity during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense - may God protect him - Our country is present in this global forum with its young, renewed spirit and aspiration towards a prosperous future for the region and the world, with its ambitious projects and inspiring vision; Saudi Vision 2030, which was formulated by His Highness, the Crown Prince, may God protect him, to take our country towards broad development horizons".

For his part, the Commissioner-General of the Saudi pavilion, Eng. Hussein Hanbaza, indicated that the Saudi participation in the “Expo 2020 Dubai” exhibition stems from the cultural value owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its capabilities and ambitions, which will give a real addition to visitors to an international exhibition such as “Expo”. He indicated that the Kingdom's pavilion will present distinguished activities and programs covering all economic, development and cultural fields, targeting all segments from children and families to businessmen and investors..

The pavilion’s activity will continue until March of next year 2022 AD, as part of the activities of the new session of “Expo 2020 Dubai” entitled “Connecting Minds.. Creating the Future,” and more than 190 countries will participate, including the Kingdom, whose pavilion is inside a building of With an area of ​​13 square meters, it is the second largest pavilion after the pavilion of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, the host country of the exhibition. The design of the building was consistent with the highest standards of environmental sustainability, as it was awarded the Platinum Certificate in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design system. The content of the pavilion was designed under the supervision of an official national committee headed by His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture, and to reflect the rich civilized reality of the Kingdom through multiple axes, including energy, economy, development, history, nature and life. The pavilion includes displays of an energy and sustainability plant. In addition to simulating fourteen Saudi sites with a total area of ​​580 square meters, including: Al-Turaif neighborhood, Al-Hajar, Historic Jeddah, and rock arts in the Hail region, and Al-Ahsa Oasis. Through an electronic window topped with 2030 scenographic crystals, the pavilion displays the Kingdom's most important giant projects that are currently being worked on, such as the Qiddiya Project, the Diriyah Gate Development Project, the Red Sea Project, and other development projects.

The pavilion celebrates creative visions through an artwork entitled “Vision”, which takes visitors on an audio-visual journey through 23 sites that represent the great diversity in the various regions of the Kingdom, and the harmonious relationship between its people and nature. The pavilion also celebrates visitors from different nationalities of the world and welcomes them in the “Explore Center” and in the welcome garden dedicated to meetings and constructive dialogues between entrepreneurs and investors, in an atmosphere rich in the values ​​of the famous Saudi hospitality..

The pavilion presents a busy daily program for its visitors that includes distinctive cultural elements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia highlighting the rich national heritage through traditional arts, folkloric dances, handicrafts and masterpieces of Saudi cuisine. In addition to the large creative shows presented by the pavilion at its headquarters and in several parallel sites such as the Dubai Millennium Theater and the Dubai Exhibition Center, which include dazzling light shows, musical and poetry evenings, cultural salons, in addition to sustainable energy activities, scientific programs and competitions for families and children.

The Kingdom's program over the next six months will also include active participation in all dialogues and forums held on the sidelines of the Expo, which will chart a better future for the world, with the participation of the Saudi private sector in addition to all relevant state institutions..
