A train ran over a bus in a new tragedy that claimed the lives of Egyptians

Train accidents returned to Egypt again on Friday. 3 people were killed and 10 others were injured in a train collision with a passenger bus in Sharkia Governorate, northern Egypt.
Eyewitnesses told Al-Arabiya.net that a train collided with a passenger bus at the Akiyad crossings in the city of Faqous in the Sharkia Governorate, killing and wounding several people.

An official source at the Ministry of Health revealed that the accident resulted in the death of 3 people, including two brothers, most of them residing in the Abu Dahshan area in Faqous, after they were on their way to the resort in Ismailia.

Investigations also revealed that the bus driver tried to cross the railway tracks at the crossings of Akyad village, and the train coming from Zagazig to Faqous collided with him and toppled the bus for a long distance.

While the authorities sent ambulances to the site of the accident, where the bodies and injured were taken to Faqous General Hospital, while the General Directorate of Traffic in Sharqia removed the wreckage of the car, and the movement of trains returned to normal again.

It is reported that the country often witnesses fatal traffic accidents, especially in the railway sector, despite all the efforts made by the authorities to modernize some of the dilapidated railways and roads.
Traffic accidents are usually repeated in Egypt for several reasons, most notably the poor adherence to the rules of driving and the periodic maintenance of cars
