A piece of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' wedding cake is up for sale XNUMX years after the wedding
The strangest thing that can be offered for sale as a souvenir from Princess Diana's wedding to Prince Charles, 8 years after that marriage... a piece of wedding cake measuring 7 by XNUMX inches.
The British newspaper, "The Sun", stated that the piece that will be offered for sale at auction, was owned by Moira Smith, one of the Queen Mother's employees, and was awarded to her after the wedding ceremony that took place in 1981, knowing that its dimensions are 8 by 7 inches.
The Moira family kept the candy until 2008, when it was bought by a collector who will auction it in Cirencester.
According to the British newspaper, the candy is expected to sell for 500 pounds.
The royal collector described the candy as "a strange and unique souvenir", and joked: "I wouldn't recommend it to anyone."
It's worth noting that the piece for Charles and Diana's wedding cake has outlasted their marriage, as the couple separated in 1996.
