Covering the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysées in Paris in preparation for its complete encapsulation, to fulfill the artistic dream of the late Bulgarian artist Christo to cover the Arc de Triomphe completely, which he could not achieve.

About 25000 meters of recyclable polypropylene fabric in silver and blue colors were tumbled, at a cost of 14 million euros.

This dream was realized by Vladimir Javachev, Christo's nephew, in cooperation with the Pompidou Museum and the French authorities.

The Arc de Triomphe will remain wrapped in cloth for 16 days.

Christo was interested in wrapping many famous landmarks around the world with cloth, and worked on covering the Reichstag building in the German capital, Berlin, which is the parliament building in the former German Reich, and they also covered the Bonn-Neuf “New Bridge” over the Seine in Paris.
