How does the sun affect your skin in hot weather?

What we are witnessing from the rise in heat waves associated with global warming increases skin dryness, loss of vitality, increased sebum secretion, and small red pimples. What are the solutions that can be adopted in this area to protect it?

The negative effects of heat waves on our bodies vary between the risk of sunstroke, loss of appetite, and fatigue.

As for its effect on the skin, it is also real, get to know it below.

Signs of skin suffering:

We know that the ideal temperature for the body is 37 degrees Celsius with an external temperature of about 25 degrees, but when the air temperature rises above that, the body faces the high external temperature through the phenomenon of sweating through the pores of the skin, allowing it to return to its normal temperature.

But the real problem is that the skin loses its moisture during sweating, which causes it to dry out.

As for continuing to rise in the air temperature, it increases the thickness of the stratum corneum of the skin, which is usually composed of dead cells, which causes an increase in dryness of the skin.

Among the signs indicating that the skin is suffering from heat waves, we mention the appearance of small red pimples that can be accompanied by itching at times. It results from excessive work of the sweat glands that allow the body temperature to be regulated, which makes it unable to get rid of the heat and witness a partial blockage in the sweat ducts, which translates through the appearance of small blisters on the surface of the skin. The rise in temperature also leads to a change in the color of the skin, which tends to turn red as a result of the expansion of its blood vessels due to the heat.

Skin protection measures:

Among the most important measures that must be adopted in the face of the high temperature, we mention the internal hydration of the body by drinking at least one and a half liters of water per day, while avoiding stimulant and sweetened drinks that cause water to drain from the body. And dermatologists indicate that sweating not only expels water from the body, but also leads to the elimination of minerals, and this is what makes the skin need moisturizing from the inside through liquids and from the outside through cosmetic creams.

In the case of oily skin, its secretions increase when the weather is hot, and this is what makes the face look shiny. In this case, she needs daily cleaning that limits her sebum secretions, in addition to using creams rich in active ingredients that regulate oily skin, such as zinc and copper.

During this period, it is also advised to avoid using products rich in ingredients that may be harsh on the skin, such as fruit acids and retinoids.

The high temperature increases the dryness of the skin, which makes it unable to bear harsh ingredients. As for what must be done in this regard, it is constantly refreshing the skin by spraying the face with mineral water spray and adopting lukewarm water baths that cleanse the skin and prepare it for the use of moisturizing creams that prevent it from drying out.
