Sweating is part of the natural vital functions that the body uses to cool itself, but excessive sweating, especially in the face area, hides various causes and can be treated with useful steps and preparations in this field.

Sweating helps rid the body of toxins and regulates its temperature. The glands that secrete sweat are located in the deep layers of the skin in different areas of the body: armpits, hands, feet, scalp, and face. But the percentage of sweating varies from one area of the body to another, and even between one person and another. Excessive sweating is among the annoying problems that negatively affect the appearance, especially when this problem affects the face area.

Many reasons

Finding out the causes of excessive sweating is an essential way to find solutions. Among these reasons, we mention external factors: high weather temperature, physical effort or sports activity, exposure to psychological stress or tension that may cause excessive food intake that increases the problem of sweating. The fear of facial sweating increases the severity of this problem. As for the internal causes affecting this area, they are: weight gain, a defect in the work of the glands that secrete sweat, or even hormonal disorders.

Available solutions

Appropriate skin care plays a role in reducing the severity of sweating, and preference in this regard is to clean the face morning and evening with a moisturizing or antiseptic soap whose acidity is close to that of the skin. After washing the face, it is recommended to dry it gently, then apply a moisturizing cream that has a thin formula to avoid overburdening the skin, provided that a clay mask is applied once a week to the skin.

Internal care helps by securing support for external care when it comes to solving the problem of sweating. In this case, it is advised to avoid eating dishes rich in spices, to refrain from smoking, and to reduce drinking coffee, which stimulates the work of the sweat glands. It is also recommended to drink enough water to maintain body temperature balance and to practice breathing exercises and even yoga as they help relieve stress.

Among the products that help reduce facial sweating, we mention the absorbent papers that can be kept in the bag and passed on the face when needed, refreshing tissues moistened with lotion that removes sweat and provides some refreshment to the skin, in addition to a spray of thermal water that can be used several times a day.
