Skin glossiness results from excessive oily secretions or water as a natural reaction of the skin to an attack it has been exposed to or as a result of perspiration. These reactions come due to the excessive use of nutritious preparations or exposing the skin to dryness and external aggressions, while sweating results from a rise in body temperature due to heat, fear, or excitement. What steps can be taken to reduce shine?

Carefully remove makeup:

Removing makeup every evening helps rid it of cosmetics, secretions, and dust accumulated on it. It is an essential step in the daily cosmetic routine. It is best to remove makeup with a special oil, milk, or micellar water, and this step should be followed by cleaning and moisturizing steps.

Clean the skin regularly:

Cleaning the skin starts from the pores in which the impurities accumulate, to increase the problem of sebum secretions and the luster of the skin. This cleaning should be done in the morning and evening with a product that suits the skin type. It may be micellar water on sensitive skin, a foaming cleanser on normal skin, and a cleanser for oily skin when suffering from excessive sebum secretions.

In all cases, you should avoid skin cleansing products that contain alcohol.

Cleaning the skin can be done with a sponge, a microfiber towel, or cotton circles with a cleansing product, while avoiding the use of a towel, as it is harsh on the skin. It is recommended to massage the skin in circular motions, then rinse it with lukewarm water, and dry it softly without rubbing.

Moisturise properly:

Moisturizing is done from the outside and from the inside, and the skin that does not shine is balanced and moisturized in the correct manner with products that suit its nature and meet its requirements. It is recommended to apply a moisturizing lotion to the skin in the morning and evening after cleansing. In the case of sensitive skin or exposed to specific attacks such as pollution or cold, a cream can be used that strengthens the protective barrier of the skin. In all cases, you should focus on drinking enough water daily to hydrate the body from the inside.

Choosing the right products:

There are anti-shine products on the market that take the form of a foundation, lotion, or even a powder. The anti-shine lotion is used in the evening, after cleansing the skin and before moisturizing it, while the anti-shine lotion is used before applying makeup in the morning, and the anti-shine powder is applied to the middle area of ​​the face after applying makeup and when there is a glossiness on the skin. It is advised to stay away from the use of foundation cream that clogs the pores, and to adopt absorbent cosmetic papers that can be kept in the bag to retouch makeup and get rid of shine.

Stay away from other causes of shine:

Among the factors that increase the luster of the skin, we also mention smoking, eating foods rich in fat and sugar. This is in addition to washing the skin with very calcareous water and using alcohol-containing products, or soap, in addition to exposure to air-conditioned.
