Its main benefits

Sugar has a mechanical exfoliating effect that is useful for skin and scalp care. It is soft on the skin because its granules dissolve after rubbing, especially when mixed with oils. The diversity of the sizes of its granules contributes to making its uses multiple, as the large granules are used in mixtures for the body, while the fine granules and powdered sugar are better for facial skin. Sugar has properties that contribute to enhancing hair volume without drying out the fibers.

Sugar body scrub

To prepare a body scrub, you will need two tablespoons of white sugar, two tablespoons of vegetable oil (jojoba, sweet almond, avocado...), a tablespoon of honey, and the juice of a lemon. These ingredients are mixed well to obtain a homogeneous formula that is easy to massage on dry skin, concentrating on the driest areas, after which it is rinsed well with water. White sugar can be replaced with powdered sugar when applying this scrub on the face.

Rejuvenating hand mask

To prepare it, it is enough to mix a cup of brown sugar with two thirds of a cup of vegetable oil (olive, argan). Apply a generous amount of this mixture to the hands and then wear latex gloves over them for 10 minutes to benefit from the enzymatic exfoliation of the sugar. Gloves are then removed and hands are massaged with the rest of this mixture, then rinsed well with water and dried before applying a moisturizing cream to them.

Hair styling spray

To prepare this spray you will need 150 milliliters of water, a cube of sugar, a teaspoon of vegetable oil (jojoba or argan), and a drop of castor oil. Water is boiled in a pot on the stove before adding a cube of sugar to it. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir to make sure the sugar has dissolved, then leave it to cool before adding the oil to it and put it in a spray bottle. This mixture can be used on the hair after shaking the package, and it is applied to the length and ends of the hair, and it can be applied to dry or damp hair to get beautiful waves.

Add sugar to shampoo

Adding sugar to your shampoo will take care of your scalp and make your hair shiny and vibrant. Its benefits in this area are due to its exfoliating effect on the scalp, which allows it to be rid of dead cells that accumulate at the roots, leading to suffocation. It also facilitates the penetration of ingredients that care for hair and scalp to the depth of the latter.

The use of sugar in this field is characterized by being simple, fast, and economical. It is enough to add a tablespoon of sugar to the amount of shampoo that you use to wash hair, this step can be repeated every 3 or 5 baths to maintain the health of the scalp and the vitality of the hair.
