Scientists and health experts are still studying the properties of the Omicron mutated from the Corona virus, which has spread around the world quickly and widely, in an attempt to avoid further infections.

The Russian "Victor" Center for Virology and Biotechnology studied the ability of the Omicron mutant to survive in various environments and on different surfaces.

The study revealed that the Omicron strain loses its vitality and ability to persist faster on ceramics, according to the Russian “TASS” agency.

Its activity fades on ceramics

The center's experts carried out a series of experiments to determine the viability of the virus on metal, plastic, ceramics and distilled water under the same conditions of relative humidity (30-40%) and temperature (26-28 degrees Celsius).

In addition, it has been proven experimentally that the activity of the virus is inhibited and it fades on ceramics faster and becomes unable to live after less than 24 hours.
