Kenzo Takada Forever.. the new Kenzo fall-winter 2021 collection

Strings, roses, stripes, pansies, tulips, and cocktail glasses...all come together in a fantastically colorful palette. Although we are in quarantine in Paris, between home and work, but we traveled in our imagination, creativity was our salvation. Innovation is our new elixir. Always visiting new places. The charm and beauty of travel is a tribute to travelers and minds. For the brave, optimistic and independent who roam the world. They run, dance and celebrate with their luxurious fabric armour. The joy and excitement of arriving in a new and unexpected place that no one has ever explored before.
A deep yearning for life. A deep yearning for freedom. Kenzo Takada Forever.

Kenzo Takada passed away on October 4, 2020. The news was surprising, surprising and unexpected. Immediately, words of condolences, honors and messages flooded the Internet with photos and videos of Kenzo, his work and his life. Although my knowledge of him was superficial, I felt that I had lost someone close to me. On Monday morning, I went back to work, still shocked by the news. It's time to start working on the new group. where do I start? How can I turn this sadness into something positive, joyful and liberating? I was sure of only one thing. I didn't want it to be just an honor, but a celebration. I wanted to celebrate this extraordinary man, his deeds and his timeless vision. We will not be able to invent anything new from just a look of respect and appreciation for the history and legacy of the great Kenzo. We must make room for our intuition, instinct, surprises and accidents. We wouldn't be able to create anything new without it. So, I started watching all the videos (recently revamped) of Kenzo shows from 1978 to 1985. Even though I was well versed in all the clothes and collections from archives, photos, drawings and magazines....I discovered that watching all those costumes sway with the movement of the models opened before me. A new perspective on the world of Kenzo Designs. Suddenly his vocabulary turned into an entirely new color palette. Here, I saw the models dazzled and swayed with joy, elegance and deceitful flirtation. Everything seemed natural and effortless, sensual and sensual. It is the opposite of what is fashionable today: pretentious, static and predictable. We picked some pieces from the Kenzo archive and from my own archive. And then the journey of trying clothes, photographing them, and studying their movement began. Collect, cut, stick, erase, draw, flip and bend in all directions, tear, separate, and then put them together again. Manuscript books were filled with drawings, pictures, and all possibilities. New story possibilities, new collection, new clothes, new silhouette, new jobs, new feelings. Possibilities for the birth of a new world. A world without borders, without prejudice, without fanaticism and stereotyping. Kenzo has always advocated freedom, joy, diversity, love of nature and the intimacy of contrasts. So I wanted to express all this in color and typography. Kenzo's presentation sums up everything he believed and cherished. Landscaping, orchards, birds
