For the first time, a dress of soap

Lux, the iconic beauty brand from Unilever, has teamed up with international designer Abed Mahfouz, to showcase the world's first-ever soap dress. The dress, which took about three months to work on, was revealed at the "Fashion Forward Dubai" event, which was attended by a crowd of first-class beauty and fashion experts.
A specialty soap paper was imported from India and infused with perfumes. The soap is a mixture of luxurious elixirs with rare ingredients, created by the world's best perfume experts, to give an experience that touches all the senses and awakens a sense of beauty in every woman.

For the first time, a dress made entirely of soap

Lux worked alongside Firmenich, the world's largest private perfume company, creating the most famous perfumes of all time, notably Dolce & Gabbana and Elie Saab fragrances, to create the fragrance that is scented with Luxe Soft Touch soap and shower gel. Regarding the dress and the event, Sabine Fazli, Director of Personal Care Products at Unilever Gulf, said: “The fashion show in which we unveiled the masterpiece of design and the first ever soap dress embodies Lux’s commitment to creating skin-care products that give women an exceptional experience, wherever they are in the world. Lux believes that beauty is not a hard task, but rather one of life's pleasures. Bathing in Lux soap daily gives you a feeling of transformation and change every day, helping every woman to feel her irresistible femininity and to be confident in herself in every moment.”
During the event, international designer Abed Mahfouz presented his latest Spring-Summer 2017 collection titled Secret Glow for the first time in an exclusive fashion show. The collection included Lux-inspired pastel colors to finally reveal the first soap-made dress.
