Essential oils are among the natural plant extracts obtained through steam distillation, and this is what makes them rich in effective elements that contribute to the treatment of many internal problems that the body is exposed to and external problems facing the skin, most notably aging and acne.

The effect of essential oils increases when combined with each other, provided that no more than 3 or 4 oils are used in one mixture. This is done by adding the chosen oil or mixture of oils to the cosmetics that we use in our daily routine.

These oils have an effect on mood and mental state as well. Lavender essential oil, for example, has a calming effect, so it is recommended to add it to night creams, while citrus oils have a tonic effect and are recommended to be added to shower gels. It is recommended to add softening oils such as rosewood oil to hand creams.

Fast treatment for normal skin:

Normal skin can benefit from a wide range of essential oils, each with different properties: rosewood and chamomile oils for their soothing action, clementines for their radiance-boosting action, energizing ylang-ylang, and black seed oil for relaxation. It is recommended to add these essential oils to carrier vegetable oils that are not too dry or too greasy, such as apricot oil and olive oil.

To prepare a mixture suitable for normal skin, it is enough to add a drop of ylang-ylang to a teaspoon of apricot oil. Apply this mixture in the morning and evening on the skin, avoiding the area around the eyes.

Soothing treatment for sensitive skin:

Chamomile oil is characterized by its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, so it is suitable for sensitive skin, while Italian helichrysum oil is useful for treating redness and rosacea. These oils should be mixed with a carrier oil suitable for sensitive skin, such as sweet almond oil and calendula oil.

To prepare a mixture suitable for sensitive skin, it is recommended to add two drops of chamomile essential oil to one milliliter of sweet almond oil. It is recommended to apply this mixture to skin that suffers from irritation, in the morning and evening, on the entire face, avoiding the area around the eyes.

Protective treatment for mature skin:

Both rosewood oil and neroli oil have both protective and antioxidant properties, making them useful for the care of mature skin. It is recommended to mix them with vegetable oils extracted from aloe vera, apricot, and argan.

To prepare a mixture suitable for mature skin, it is enough to add two drops of rosewood oil to a tablespoon of argan oil. This mixture should be applied in the morning and evening to rejuvenate the skin and maintain its durability while avoiding the eye area.

Purifying treatment for oily skin:

Tea tree, lavender, lemon and bergamot essential oils are known for their purifying, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. This makes it suitable for oily and combination skin. As for the carrier oils that are recommended to be used with them, they are yellow melon oil that regulates sebum secretions, and pure lavender oil, which relieves pimples and helps heal scars.

To prepare a mixture suitable for oily skin, it is enough to add two drops of bergamot essential oil to a tablespoon of hazelnut oil. This mixture helps to purify the skin and control its secretions if used in the evening, while avoiding the area around the eyes.

Nourishing treatment for dry skin:

Neroli essential oil is characterized by its nourishing properties, which become more effective when mixed with certain types of vegetable oils such as avocado oil and wheat germ oil. If spots appear on the skin, it is recommended to use carrot or celery oils, which have an anti-stain effect.

To prepare a mixture suitable for dry skin, it is enough to add two drops of neroli essential oil to a tablespoon of wheat germ oil. This mixture works to nourish dry skin and protect it from external aggressions. It is used in the morning and evening on the face, avoiding the area around the eyes.
