The Emirates Foundation, in cooperation with the Fakhr Al Watan Office and with the support of First Abu Dhabi Bank, highlights the positive role of volunteers during the month of Ramadan and opens the door to volunteering for more community members

The Emirates Foundation - a national institution that works in partnership with the public and private sectors to implement initiatives and consolidate social responsibility - in cooperation with the Fakhr Al-Watan Office and with the exclusive support of First Abu Dhabi Bank, launched a voluntary campaign in the "Takatof" program aimed at supporting the heroes of the first line of defense at the state level during the holy month of Ramadan .

During the holy month of Ramadan, “Takatof” volunteers carried out a variety of volunteer activities to support workers on the front lines, in cooperation with the project partners in both the Fakhr Al-Watan Office and First Abu Dhabi Bank, through which they facilitated the volunteers’ task in reaching the targeted workers in providing Ramadan parcels and gifts. During the holy month, more than 365 volunteers provided a total of 1100 hours of their time, and “Takatuf” expanded its volunteer activities based on the needs of the community in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Dibba, Khor Fakkan and Kalba.

The main activities of the volunteers included providing support to workers in the first line of defense, by distributing Iftar and Suhoor meals throughout the holy month of Ramadan at the state level.

And he said Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Emirates Foundation: “The Covid-19 pandemic has led to many changes in our daily lives that no one expected at the beginning of 2020, and since the beginning of the pandemic, the volunteers of the Emirates Foundation have made a great difference in enabling the UAE to meet this challenge by providing assistance and support in the examination and quarantine centers , shopping malls, and other public places. We also worked, during the holy month of Ramadan, to expand our community services to include supporting heroes on the front lines.”
