The Emirates Foundation hosts the UAE Innovation Month and expands the 2019 Think Science Fair to include the seven Emirates

 Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Chairman of the Emirates Foundation, the Emirates Foundation, the independent national institution that works in partnership with the public and private sectors to consolidate social responsibility and raise the competencies of young people, announced the expansion of the activities of the Think Science Fair 2019 Organized by the Foundation, we think, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education and Knowledge, to include the seven emirates of the country, coinciding with the Emirates Innovate initiative, which will be held during the month of innovation.

And there will be a science fair Think Differently in its seventh edition, which will consist of impressive events in several emirates with the aim of engaging a larger number of young people between the ages of 15 and 35 years from all over the United Arab Emirates in order to encourage, inspire and involve them in the development process by designing and developing innovations It responds to society's most urgent needs, aims to enable them to participate effectively in the digital revolution and provide an appropriate platform for innovation and technology dissemination to encourage young people to enter the fields of science, technology, innovation, energy, aviation and other technological fields.

It is worth noting that the Think Science National Competition this year witnessed the reception of 2000 scientific projects submitted by 4000 young men and women from all over the United Arab Emirates, and 3 new scientific categories were added in the competition to contribute to providing scientific solutions to a number of current societal challenges, namely security Food and water sustainability, health and bioinformatics systems.

Al Habsi concluded her speech by saying: “We are committed to promoting the fields of science, technology and innovation in the United Arab Emirates in line with the National Innovation Strategy approved by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, so I am pleased to announce the expansion of the Think Science platform this year to reach across the UAE to discover more talents and innovators in the country.”

The Think Science Fair 2019 will also witness the opportunity for exhibition participants to present their projects in the “Platform of Promising Entrepreneurs in the Field of Science and Technology,” which was launched by the Foundation last year to allow young people to communicate with companies and partner institutions of the Foundation, as well as to deal directly with companies and institutions interested in youth innovations to incubate these projects .

Commenting on the platform of promising entrepreneurs in the field of science and technology, Al-Habsi said: “We work at the Emirates Foundation through a science program, we think about supporting innovators, entrepreneurs and future scientists, and we also work to support them and connect these young people with the best opportunities, with the help of our partners from the public and private sectors. This enables us to support and nurture their ambition and encourage more young people to enter the field of science and technology.”
