Christie's Education launches an e-learning course in Arabic

 Christie's Education has announced the launch of a new electronic platform that provides new educational electronic courses in Arabic that allow students around the world to study the history and art market in an interesting and fun way. This platform will be the third educational pillar launched by "Christie's Education", along with continuing education programs and master's degrees, the perfect way to gain a greater understanding of the world of art, whether to advance your career or acquire diverse artistic knowledge.

In this regard, Guillaume Cerruti, CEO of Christie’s, said: “It is with great pleasure that we launch a new e-learning course in front of a student audience from all over the world. With the growing artistic taste and fondness for art in the Arab region and around the world. At the same time, we are witnessing a rise in the level of interest and demand for ways to understand this industry and its cultural context to develop artistic acquisition skills. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Christie's, Christie's Education forms an important part of our global operations, and the new online course will enhance our existing international programmes, as it is very important for us to launch these classes in conjunction with Abu Dhabi Art 2017, which confirms our commitment and interest Education, which is at the heart of our work and programs in the region.”

The e-learning courses will be available via a special online platform, providing weekly lectures rich in video content that provide valuable information and insights into the behind-the-scenes business and concepts of the world's leading auction house, as well as the possibility of electronic interaction with the lecturers.

The first electronic course will be available in Arabic, titled: “The Secrets of the World of Contemporary Art” on December 3, 2017, and will last for five weeks. Its objectives are as follows:
• Provides an in-depth understanding of the global art scene
• Helping to get to know the different participants and understand their individual roles and their interactions with each other. They are: artists, private art dealers, art galleries, art collectors, auction houses, art galleries, biennials, and museums.
• Highlight the various art collectors involved in the art markets.

Additional courses on art business management and artistic flair will also be available over the course of 2018 and 2019.
