Yesterday, 22 pharaonic mummies roamed the streets of Cairo in an astonishing royal procession from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat. This event is the official opening of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat.

In a move to promote its opening, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is offering a 50 percent discount on tickets to the central exhibition hall for all visitors from April 4-17.
