Surprise after documenting a young man who threw himself from a wall in a live broadcast to end his life

On Sunday, the Citadel area in Cairo witnessed a tragic incident, as a young man in his twenties jumped from the top of the wall, trying to end his life, documenting the moment he threw himself in a live broadcast with “audio and image” on his personal page on the “Facebook” website.

The young man said: “In this recent period, I was exposed to many difficult situations, which made me a weak person who could no longer bear it, so I decided that this is the end of my life, and I went to the tower. They told me that it is forbidden to enter alone, so I came here. Forgiving him, my father is the one who got me to this.”

According to the circulating video clip, which Al-Arabiya.net refuses to publish, a person was shouting at a woman and telling her: “Tell the police about someone who threw himself.”

The young man's family denied what was circulated about the young man's death, and the family revealed that he was fine, and now he is receiving treatment in a hospital in Maadi, Cairo Governorate, due to some injuries and fractures as a result of his jumping from the top of the fence.

The son of the uncle of the young man who tried to commit suicide explained to “Cairo 24” through a telephone intervention via a live broadcast, where he said that Mustafa is fine and in the best condition, asking people to pray for him, and expressing his anger at the actions that people come to, and accusing him of being an infidel.

He said that Mustafa needs psychological support during this period, especially the current period, denying what was circulated of the young man's statements about his father's mistreatment of him, stressing that his father is a good man who cannot be a reason for Mustafa's chest distress until he commits suicide.
