The King of Malaysia abdicates the throne and the news of his wife's pregnancy, Miss Russia

Malaysia's King Sultan Muhammad V abruptly abdicated after just two years of his 5-year mandate. The assignment will be effective from 6-1-2019.

There were no reasons explaining the decision of Sultan Mehmed V.
This is the first time the king has abdicated since the country gained independence from Britain.

 
The former king married the former Miss Russia 2015 Oksana Vojvodina, in a lavish ceremony in November 2018, after she converted to Islam, but the country's law does not allow her to become Queen of Malaysia, because the title is obtained only by indigenous women.
And just two days after his abdication, he brought the news of his wife's pregnancy.
