A famous American actor dies of the Corona virus
Amanda Kloots wrote on Instagram, “My beloved husband has passed away. He was surrounded by the love of his family, who sang to him as he left this world quietly.
Kloots had documented her husband's struggle against Covid-19 through social media, and said that he held out for 95 days.
His health rapidly deteriorated
After three weeks spent in intensive care, doctors had to amputate the actor's leg due to blood clotting in it, which is one of the complications of this disease.
Cordero was in a coma for months, but he regained consciousness in early May through his eyes only.
Meanwhile, Kloots indicated that he lost 29 kilograms of weight due to muscular dystrophy, and until mid-June he was unable to move and speak.
He was waiting for a lung transplant before his death.
Cordero is known for his roles in musicals, notably "Weetress" and "Gah Bronx Tail", for which he was nominated for a Tony Award for theatrical performance.
