Fayrouz House, a museum in danger of collapsing in Beirut

Fayrouz not only represents the heritage of Lebanon, but also the house in which she grew up and spent her childhood, represents the heritage of Lebanon. Any moment to turn into a part of the past, which prepares to take a big step to restore this property and turn it into a shrine and museum that represents the heritage of modern Lebanon.

In an impressive report, she showed for the first time the remains of the forgotten house in that old popular neighborhood near the Patriarchate School, and interviewed the remaining neighbors of Al-Haddad, who spoke about their follow-up to Nihad as she took her first artistic steps before becoming one of the most important singers in the Middle East. Neighbors also talked about the property owner's intention to construct a huge housing project, after half of the building was destroyed due to neglect, while the other half remained tall. The parents of Fayrouz Wadih and Lisa Haddad moved to live in this house in 1935, shortly after the birth of their eldest daughter Nouhad, and they remained there until the mid-seventies.

It is noteworthy that the Beirut Municipal Council approved the acquisition of the property as a first stage in preparation for the restoration of the building and its allocation for cultural and artistic uses in order to preserve the Lebanese memory and the Lebanese architectural heritage.
