A decision prevents Reham Saeed from appearing in the media

Reham Saeed was prevented from appearing in the media by an official decision, as the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, headed by journalist Makram Mohamed Ahmed, issued a decision to prevent the appearance of Informative Reham Saeed, on any audio or visual media for a year.

The decision comes against the background of the Egyptian broadcaster's abuse of obese women, and the National Council for Women filed an official complaint against her.

Al-Hayat channel in Egypt had decided to stop the "Sabaya" program and the presenter of the program, Reham Saeed, after her abuse of obese women.

The channel said that the suspension will continue until the Supreme Media Council's investigations are completed with it, provided that the program's position is announced according to what the investigation ends with, declaring its respect for all its viewers.

The National Council for Women in Egypt submitted a complaint to the Supreme Media Council against the announcer because of an episode of her program in which she talked about obesity, and angered Egyptian women, and demanded that Reham Saeed be prevented from appearing again.

The council said that the episode contained inappropriate expressions and descriptions, calling for taking the necessary measures.

Reham Saeed sparked anger on social media in Egypt, after she directed insulting expressions and words to those who suffer from obesity, saying that they are a burden on the state and that they are among the dead, and it is not the first time that she has raised controversy in her comments.

The pioneers of the communication sites launched a campaign against the broadcaster, stressing that she uttered descriptions that did not conform to professional, ethical and religious standards, and also spoke in a degrading manner about the women of Egypt, and in a way that destroyed their dignity and insulted their femininity, and demanded that Reham Saeed be prevented from presenting

The tweeters demanded the management of Al-Hayat channel to provide an official apology to these women, stop the Reham Saeed program, and threaten to launch a campaign to boycott the companies sponsoring the program and financially supporting the channel.
