Meghan Markle attacks the royal palace, happy to leave

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband Prince Harry have expressed their happiness at leaving the United Kingdom and relinquishing their roles in the British royal family two years ago.

She pointed out that her husband, Prince Harry, no longer had any relationship with his father, Prince Charles, especially after he told her, "I lost my father in the process," indicating that his departure to the United States was tantamount to severing relations with him.

During an interview with The Cut magazine in New York, she explained that she was willing to go anywhere in the Commonwealth with her husband Prince Harry in order to escape from their royal life.

She noted that they initially considered going to New Zealand, Canada or South Africa, before receiving an offer from actor and director Tyler Perry to give them a home in California.

"Just being there was upsetting the hierarchy, so we decided to go away and we were so happy," she commented.

She indicated that she made a great effort to forgive her family members and her family, noting that despite her abandoning her royal duties, she did not sign anything that prevented her from speaking, but she is still recovering from the ordeal, as she described it.

Meghan Markle drew some criticism of the royal protocol, for forcing her to share pictures of her newborn son Archie in the media.

"Why would I give my child racists a picture of my child before I can share it with the people who love my child?" she said.

According to a report by Britain's Sky News, Meghan Markle's comments came amid speculation that she would not be able to visit Queen Elizabeth in Balmoral due to security issues.

Meghan Markle has described her relationship with Prince Harry as salt and pepper because they are always on the move together.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced in January 2020 that they would relinquish their royal duties and move to Canada for a temporary period before settling in California at the beginning of April 2020.

Since that announcement, their relationship with the royal family has been greatly strained, especially after their controversial statements that summed up criticism of the family. In March 2021, Harry and Megan gave an interview with the American program presenter Oprah Winfrey, which carried fiery statements that increased tension with the royal family.

Prince Harry described his father and brother as prisoners of the monarchy, explaining that he felt betrayed by his father for not answering his calls and stopping financial support for him when he decided to travel with his wife to the United States of America.
