Eat a lot of added sugar

When it comes to eating breakfast, which will help strengthen the body's immunity, you must check the amount of sugar eaten.

In this context, D'Angelo said, "Breakfast foods, such as sugary cereals, pastries and pancakes filled with added sugar, can over time negatively affect white blood cells, which are the body's cells involved in fighting infection."

Even if pancakes aren't eaten every morning, Manaker said, the problem of sugar consumption can increase in unexpected ways "between what's added to coffee, what's sprinkled on oatmeal, and what's on cake."

Do not drink orange juice

Reducing or avoiding the intake of added sugar does not mean that the body does not need the natural sugars that can be obtained by eating fresh fruits and natural juices.

In this context, Manaker said: “When some try to limit their intake of added sugar, they may avoid drinking a natural juice that does not contain added sugars with breakfast,” considering that this is a mistake as this juice is full of important nutrients that support the immune system.

A recent study suggests that natural orange juice helps fight inflammation,” says Manaker, who explains, “Inclusion of this juice in an overall healthy diet can be an important addition to immune system timing.”

Lack of Vitamin D

Vitamin D is an important component of boosting the immune system. Some people make the mistake of forgetting these key nutrients when preparing breakfast, according to D'Angelo Thed.

"Foods like salmon, oatmeal, eggs, milk and some juices can be delicious sources of vitamin D, but if someone is used to eating a quick breakfast to save time, they won't get enough vitamin D each day," D'Angelo said.

Therefore, it is possible to get enough of this vitamin according to the recommended dose in the form of nutritional supplements, provided that a balanced diet in general and regular exercise are taken into account.

Not eating protein

According to Manaker, protein is an important component of maintaining a healthy immune system, so eating enough protein for breakfast is key.

"Many breakfast foods like pastries and French toast are full of carbs, but very low in protein, so adding protein-rich foods like eggs and milk to your daily breakfast routine can help support your immune system," Manaker added.

Eat fast food

Eating breakfast at fast-food restaurants can destroy your immune system.

“Fast food can be very convenient, but it can also be full of salt,” Manaker said. Since a high-salt diet weakens the immune system, eating foods without a lot of sodium is important.”
