A rare copy of the Super Mario game tape produced by Nintendo, sold for XNUMX US dollars, at an auction.

The owner of the copy bought it XNUMX ​​years ago and will not open it, and it has been forgotten in his drawer since then.

The amount at which the game was sold, according to Heritage Auctions, makes it the most expensive video game ever sold.

"It's been at the bottom of my desk the whole time since the day I bought it," said the owner of the tape. "I never thought of anything."

"Because the production life of this and other similar versions was so short, finding another version of the same production and a similar case would be akin to looking for a single drop of water in the ocean," said Valerie McClekey, director of Video Games.
