Company warning

At this point, users will have to choose either to accept the new terms or to effectively prevent them from using WhatsApp.

Alternative apps

It is noteworthy that the company announced last January the update of the new terms of service, and many users downloaded alternative applications such as “Signal” and “Telegram” for fear that the new terms would affect privacy.

Users’ concerns included “the right to read messages and deliver information to Facebook, while Facebook launched an advertising campaign explaining that the new terms focus on a set of features that allow users to send messages to companies through the application.
