During the past few days, the media circulated the news that she had suffered a cruciate ligament injury and needed urgent surgery, but Sherine filed accusations against her brother of beating her and detaining her in a hospital.

In a telephone interview with the Egyptian media, Amr Adib, yesterday, the brother of singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, said that he had to admit his sister to the hospital in order to be treated for drugs that she was addicted to in the last period with her ex-hussam Habib.

He added that his sister is dealing with a "gang" consisting of her ex-hussam Habib and producer Sarah Al-Tabbakh, and that his mother begged him to save Sherine Abdel Wahab from addiction.
