A state of sadness dominated the media center in Sudan after the sudden death of the young anchor of the Blue Nile satellite channel, Rataj Al-Agha, on Wednesday evening, at the age of 28.

According to the Sudan News website, the announcer, Retaj Al-Agha, nicknamed the Cinderella of the Sudanese media, died yesterday, after suffering a sharp drop in blood circulation as a result of a health problem in a Khartoum hospital, without revealing any other details.

The pioneers of the social networking site "Twitter" competed to mourn the Sudanese media, stressing that the death was a shock to them, especially since she is still in the youth stage of her life, and some of her colleagues were keen to mourn her and express their grief over her loss.

A number of her followers on Twitter wrote posts about her obituary on social media platforms, and they enumerated the merits of the late anchor and put her pictures on their personal accounts, calling her Cinderella of the channel.

The late media presenter presented a number of programs on the "Blue Nile" channel, most notably the "There is no problem" program, which had a high follow-up, in addition to "New Evening" and the morning "FM".

The late Blue Nile broadcaster was distinguished by a human sense and was always sympathetic to the weak and sick, and on Valentine's Day, she published a tweet in which she demanded the need to take care of cancer patients, give them hope and help them overcome their ordeal.

And Ritaj married in April 2019 in a ceremony described as royal and distinguished.

The star of the Blue Nile satellite channel had previously underwent surgery in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and at that time reassured her friends about her condition.

At the time, Retaj refused to disclose the details of the surgery she underwent. She revealed that she took a large number of hours, and stayed in Cairo for some time, to follow up on doctors, and to check on her health.

The late Retaj Al-Agha was born in 1992 in Shendi, northern Sudan. She joined the Blue Nile channel, several years ago, and was able to attract the attention of viewers to her for its good content, and she excelled in writing poems.

Retaj Al-Agha gained great fame during the outbreak of the demonstrations against the ousted President Omar Al-Bashir, and accused her of insulting the demonstrators, but she broke her silence to respond to these accusations, stressing in press statements that she did not insult the protesters, and that what was promoted was completely false.
