New developments and frightening photos in the case of the murder of the Maadi girl

The Egyptian Public Prosecution revealed new details in the crime of killing a Maadi girl who was run over under the tires of a car in which 3 young men were traveling, who tried to harass her.

A statement by the Egyptian Public Prosecution said, on Wednesday, that it had received, at seven o'clock in the evening, Tuesday, a report from the emergency operations room in the Maadi Police Department, of the death of 24-year-old Maryam Mohamed Ali in the Maadi neighborhood, adding that a witness informed the police of seeing a white microbus in which two young men were traveling. The escort of her driver snatched the victim's bag from her, which led to her colliding with a parked car and then her death.

The prosecution added that by examining the body of the victim, it was found that she had been injured in different parts of her body, and it was found that there were traces of blood stained with sand near one of the cars, from which samples were taken, noting that the prosecution team managed to obtain five clips from the surveillance cameras overlooking the site. The accident, which showed that the car in which the two suspects were traveling passed at high speed.

The prosecution stated that one of the young men grabbed the bag of the girl who tried to hold on to her while the car was moving, which upset her balance.

The prosecution added that the victim stayed for about half an hour at the scene of the accident until the ambulance came, then she died, adding that it decided to complete the investigations to summon whoever was with the victim to hear her testimony, and assigning the General Department to investigate criminal evidence to show the material acts shown in the clips taken from the surveillance cameras of the incident It also requested police investigations about the accident and apprehend the perpetrators.

The warden of the Maadi Police Department, south of the capital, Cairo, had received a report stating that the body of a girl was found lying in a street with complete lacerations, broken bones and drenched in her blood.

Unloading of surveillance cameras installed in shops on the street revealed that a car in which 3 young men were traveling chased the girl after she left her work in a bank.

The security services are searching for the owner of the car in preparation for reaching the perpetrators, whose crime shocked the feelings of the Egyptians.
