The body's negative reactions after eating and drinking may indicate health problems. A Russian nutritionist provides many examples of this.

The Russian expert, Dr. Mikhail Ginsburg, points out that the pain in the back of the head after drinking coffee or tea, indicates a high level of blood pressure.

He adds that the feeling of pain after eating, indicates not only problems in the digestive system, but depends on the location of the pain and after eating any food product.

For example, one of the signs of high blood pressure is pain in the back of the head and in the eyeball after eating citrus fruits, beer, coffee and tea.

If the person has become accustomed to eating meat broth, and begins to feel pain in the joints, it may be a symptom of gout.

And the nutritionist says that feeling pain in the right hypochondrium after eating fried meat and pastries, may be a sign of a problem in the pancreas or gallbladder.

He says: “Fatty foods, especially fried meat, pastries and pies, may sometimes cause mild pain in the right hypochondrium, in the upper abdominal cavity. The pain can also be zonal, that is, includes the abdomen, especially in the upper part of it, and this indicates a problem in the gallbladder and pancreas.”

He adds, and if abdominal pain appears after eating fruit juice or acidic foods, as well as after foods containing spices, it may indicate gastritis or stomach ulcers.

He says: “Spicy foods, especially spices and seasonings, as well as sour foods, such as lemons, apples, fruit juices and dairy products, can cause stomach pain, called epigastric pain in the upper abdomen, often in the middle. This pain, which occurs immediately or half an hour after a meal, indicates a stomach problem, and the cause is often gastritis or ulcers.”
