WhatsApp and a new feature for video messages
The instant messaging application “WhatsApp” announced the launch of a new feature related to short and direct video messages, after weeks of testing it.
And the British newspaper “The Sun” reported that the new feature is currently being circulated to all users, indicating that it will make “chats” better.
WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, stated in a post on its blog:
WhatsApp Voice Messages has changed the way people communicate by providing a fast and secure way to share your messages with your voice.
Based on this feature, we are pleased to introduce the new instant video messages.
You can now record short personal videos and share them directly in the chat.
All WhatsApp users need to do is press the “Voice Messages” button once, to switch to “Short Video Messages”.
After that, the clip can be recorded for a period not exceeding 60 seconds.
The video, which is being recorded, cannot be modified or retransmitted again, which makes it "exclusive" for the addressee.
It is believed that the feature was inspired by the competing application "Snapchat".
