Princess Haya is the daughter of His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal (1935 - 1999) and Her Majesty Queen Alia Al Hussein (1948 - 1977), who died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 1977 on her way back from southern Jordan to Amman. She is the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
