Blancpain launches two new models of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet watch

Blancpain offers two new interpretations of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complete: one in red gold with a blue gradient dial; The other is titanium with anthracite-colored enamel. With their distinctive patterns, the new models combine the emblematic elements of Blancpain: the mathematical DNA of the famous Fifty Fathoms diver's watch; Its full traditional calendar displays the phases of the moon.

Developed in 1956 to offer a diver's watch sized for everyday wear, Bathyscaphe watches are a mainstay of the Fifty Fathoms collection. This watch has seen a number of improvements over the years, and was reinterpreted by Blancpain in 2013 to celebrate the XNUMXth anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms.
The Bathyscaphe Quantième Complete model combines mathematical features with indications of the day of the week, month and date, furthering the vision of developing a watch suitable for everyday use that inspired the Maison to launch the first Bathyscaphe watch. The data is complemented by the dial with the wide moon-phase window at 6 o'clock. As always, Blancpain has taken care to protect the Bathyscaphe P6654 self-winding movement by equipping its date mechanism with a sophisticated safety system. The watch has a diameter of 43 mm, with a water resistance of 30 bar (approximately 300 metres), the new Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet is available in two versions, fluted design with well-defined lines: one in red gold and the other in 23-grade titanium. The color match continues with the materials used in the design, with the case back revealing a red-gold oscillating weight spring. On the other hand, the titanium model has subtle shades of gray, while the anthracite dial sparkles with gold hour markers, hands and the moon, all rhodium-plated. Likewise, the anthracite ceramic bezel is fluted, for a modern matte effect, with a scale made of gradient TM Liquidmetal. The gold rotor of the NAC-type anthracite titanium model is also coated to enhance the sporty and dynamic character of the watch.
