The race track returns this year to be "clockwise", after it was adopted last year to use the "counterclockwise" direction, as it was in the direction of the race track in the fifties of the last century. Once the signal goes off at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday 15 June, the participating cars will depart from Brescia with an interval of one minute in between, in an order based on the age of the car, with the car being oldest first, newest and newest. The second day of the race, which falls on Thursday 16 June, will see the runners head to Rome on a grueling 500-kilometre journey, meandering through the stunning mountaintops of Norcia before reaching the ancient city of Rome after dark, and then getting up early before Friday dawn.

With the start of the new day, runners set out for another 500 km on the return trip north of at least nine hours.
