The death of the world designer Azzedine Alaïa, the controversial Tunisian who raised the name of his country high

 A huge loss in the fashion world was manifested by the departure of the world famous Tunisian designer, Azzedine Alaïa, in Paris at the age of 77, after a career full of achievements in the field of luxury fashion.

Ezz El Din Alaia is considered one of the most famous fashion designers in the world, and the few who specialize in luxury fashion, with the largest fashion houses, and his works were worn by the most famous personalities, including Michelle Obama, Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and many, many others.

The designer was born in Tunisia in 1942. He joined the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tunis, and after graduating he worked as an assistant tailor and then as a professional private designer who gained local fame.

Then he travels to Paris, the fashion capital in the fifties, and begins his career as a tailor with Christian Dior; He then moves on to work with Guy Laroche, then Thierry Magler. Then he held a special exhibition in France. And he achieved success in elegant designs that attracted many world famous people.

Azzedine Alaïa was known for keeping a low profile and wearing a black Chinese suit, which made him a controversial designer as he never changes his clothes.

Ezzedine was awarded the Best Designer for the year 1984 and the Best Clothing Line for the same year from the Fashion Oscar, awarded by the French Ministry of Culture.

He is well liked among his fellow designers, as fellow designer Pierre Cardin lamented to AFP: "We lost one of the great talented designers, it's sad news."
