It is inspired by the saying of Christian Dior, founder of the house, that: “Whatever you do, whether for business or pleasure, do it with passion!”. This wisdom accompanied him throughout his career, since he opened a showroom in Paris, until he learned the profession of fashion design and opened his own house. He has always chosen to live life to the fullest and do what he loves to do.

The theme of the union of life and death has emerged in the world of Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior since 2001, through the La Fiancee du Vampire jewelry collection, and was reinforced in 2009 with the 10 high jewelry creations of the XNUMX Reines et Rois collection.

In the year 2013, away from the prevailing patterns, the Tete de Mort jewelry collection continued to present new models that were designed with great precision and entered the shimmering models. As for this year, the collection received 3 rings and 3 necklaces that do not reveal all its secrets at first sight.

When viewed closely, it reveals in the model decorated with yellow gold and amethysts a small green garnet bagasse, in reference to the lucky charms dear to the heart of the founder of the House. The white gold and blue onyx model is adorned with a crown of lily of the valley, one of Christian Dior's favorite flowers, with which he used to decorate his clothes. We also find small hearts engraved from the back or asymmetrically on the body of the jewel, forming a message full of happiness.

Behind the choice of colors for this jewelry hide specific symbols and messages, strength symbolized by the dark blue of agate, calm symbolized by the light pink of quartz, and balance symbolized by the delicate violet of amethyst. The house chose these stones because of their deep natural pastel colors, before they were hand-carved to reveal their beauty.
