The third foldable phone...but from Honor
The Chinese company Honor is preparing to launch its first foldable phones, so that it gets the same design as the Huawei Mate X2 phone that was launched before the two companies separated.
And a new report published by GSMarena shows that Honor will put its first foldable phone under the Honor Magic family of phones, bearing the name “Honor Magic X.”
The new phone is expected to be officially launched in the market during the fourth quarter of this year, which will make it the third foldable phone to be launched in the market, after the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3.
This comes in light of US attempts to include the name of the Honor company in the blacklist, along with Huawei, as there is division within the US administration over this decision.
The inclusion of Honor on the US ban list represents an explicit threat to its future in the global phone market. If the ban is implemented, Honor phones will be deprived of benefiting from American products or products whose manufacture includes components of American production, especially processors, as well as the Android operating system.
