Therefore, we must know how to use it correctly to reduce its harmful effect on the body:

  • Aluminum foil is designed to wrap foods, not to use it in the cooking process
  • The aluminum foil has two sides, a glossy side and a matte side

The shiny side is used to wrap hot food only (i.e. the shiny side is next to hot food)

As for the matte face, it is used to wrap cold food only (ie, the matte face is adjacent to cold food).

  • It is forbidden to use aluminum foil in the cooking process or to wrap food and bring it into the oven or microwave, as the excess cooking heat leads to aluminum exiting from the paper to the food and interacting with it, especially if you use lemon or vinegar in the cooking process.
  • If you have to use aluminum foil for cooking, put a piece of cabbage between it and the food, then toss it after cooking.
