Dubai to allow residents and tourists to return next month

Dubai allowed the return of holders of valid residency permits, as of tomorrow, and allowed the reception of travelers through its airports, as of July 7.

The official spokesman for the Emirates Emergency and Crisis Management Authority, Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, said that allowing travel includes setting some requirements and procedures, with the aim of limiting the spread of the new Corona virus.

Al Dhaheri explained that these procedures will be updated periodically, and based on developments in events and the health situation, the countries have been divided into three categories.

Al Dhaheri said in a press statement: "Citizens and residents can travel to countries under the (low-risk) category, and travel is not allowed for countries under the (high-risk) category."

He explained that "a limited and certain category of citizens is allowed to travel to countries within the category (medium risk) in emergency cases, for the purpose of necessary health treatment, or to visit first-degree relatives, or for military, diplomatic and official missions."

And he explained, "When returning from travel, a Covid 19 (PCR) examination must be carried out in an approved medical facility for those who suffer from any symptoms, within 48 hours of entering the UAE."

The United Arab Emirates had announced that citizens and residents would be allowed to travel to specific destinations, according to requirements and procedures, as of June 23.
