A satellite takes a picture of the Chinese missile

A Russian satellite, known as Aist-2D and has been in space since 2016, took a picture yesterday, Saturday, of the Chinese long march-5 rocket, which is scheduled to fall today somewhere on Earth, "and it was 1.281 kilometers away from it in space," said Dmitry Rogozin, head of the agency. The Russian space space, Roscosmos, in a tweet he wrote on his “Twitter” account, attached to the photo that was taken at 36:XNUMX in the morning.

Last Thursday, Rogozin published a map of the Earth showing the potential collision areas for the missile, including Africa, South America and Australia, and then predicted on Saturday that it would land in the Pacific Ocean, somewhere east of New Zealand. And he wrote a tweet in which he said: “The time period for the expected entry of the missile into the atmosphere is GMT from 11.34 pm on May 8 to 5.28 at dawn on May 9, that is, today Sunday.

As for the space-track.org website of the US Space Command, it indicated that the main part of the missile structure, which has a total weight of 21 tons, will enter the Earth’s atmosphere at 2:04 am on May 9 GMT, while the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that “it is unlikely It is extremely dangerous for the wreckage of the missile to cause any damage,” it said in a statement.
