What is melanoma... its symptoms... and the most important causes
It is a type of cancer that develops from cells that contain the dark pigment melanin responsible for skin color known as melanocytes. Melanoma usually occurs in the skin, but rarely in the mouth, intestines, and eyes.
Symptoms of melanoma:
- asymmetry
- irregular edges
- coloration
- Diameter more than 6mm larger than the size of a pencil eraser
- evolve over time
- Anorexia
- Nausea, vomiting, fatigue.
Causes of a tumor:
- DNA defect inside cells
- UV rays from tanning beds increase the risk of melanoma
- In some cases, heredity and the presence of skin cancer in the family, I have identified several genes responsible for increasing the risk of developing skin cancer, some rare genes represent a relatively high risk of causing skin cancer.
