Many of us may sometimes find it difficult to absorb or remember new information  Without knowing the scientific reasons behind it.

Neuropsychiatrist Dr. Irina Khvengia revealed that there are factors that affect a person's ability to learn new things.

stress

The specialist indicated that the cognitive functions of the brain, including memory and the assimilation of new information, can decrease for many reasons, especially due to stress, according to what was published by the Russian "Novosti" news agency.

She also added that a person who has stopped absorbing new information may be behind that he does not need this information now, or because of fatigue, or because of the stress of cognitive functions.

She added that a person who is under the influence of stress finds it difficult to carry out his usual daily duties, pointing out that in the case of stress, it is difficult to focus on work or learning.

low focus

She justified this by saying that “the level of concentration of attention decreases, meaning that more effort is needed to do any work, which leads to exhaustion of the body and the emergence of memory problems, so it can read the text to the end without remembering what it was at the beginning.”

The Russian specialist confirmed that the decline in cognitive functions due to stress is treatable, "if a person is always calm and unpleasant events have occurred to him in the recent period that have affected his psyche a lot, this does not mean that a person will always remain so."

“But in this case it is important to realize that all cognitive functions of the brain are affected; When we refer to a stress-related disturbance, we are not trying to change the ways we process it. Instead, we need a way to cope with stress.”

It is noteworthy that there are many reasons that lead to lack of focus and distraction, including stress, hunger, lack of sleep, as well as excessive consumption of sugary or fatty foods.
