Ladybird “Valentine's Day Heart of Gold by Blancpain

Heart of gold from Blancpain
Celebrating Valentine’s Day has been one of the most important traditions that Blancpain watchmakers have been celebrating for more than 20 years – and the most important reason for this celebration is the Le Brassos-based luxury watch brand’s commitment to the timeless traditions celebrated by societies on the widest scale. The 2022 Ladybird “Valentine's Day” watches bear the perfect testament to their everlasting celebration of emotion, uniting time with love… 99 times!
A symbol of timeless love, the 2022 Ladybird “Valentine’s Day” watch, with a selection of precious stones and luxurious materials, crafted with the utmost dedication to ensure that the watch stands out for its elegance on the wrist of the wearer. The dial is crafted of white mother-of-pearl, embellished with bright red numerals and a circle of diamonds, expressing the sweetness, sensuality and timelessness of love.
The theme of this watch is perfectly embodied by the seconds hand, which sweeps across a fiery red heart during its perpetual rotation.
The 34.9 mm case in white gold shimmers with 58 brilliant-cut diamonds, setting the bezel and lugs very elegantly. Its purity is revealed in a superior contrast to the glow of the pink sapphires that cover the crown of the watch. The color of love extends to the crocodile leather bracelet, which is fastened to the wrist with a buckle with a diamond studded pin.
The sapphire caseback highlights the circular curves of the 1153 self-winding movement, entirely developed and produced in the Blancpain workshops, drawing on nearly three hundred years of experience. The main plate, bridges and other components are delicately decorated in accordance with the finest Haute Horlogerie traditions, emphasizing the subtle, sparkling details of these unique gemstones. In addition to embodying delicacy, this watch also boasts a high level of reliability with a long-lasting four-day power reserve and silicone balance spring, the 1153 movement promising to save energy for the watch.
for the longest possible life.
The 2022 Ladybird “Valentine's Day” watch has been developed in an edition of 99 pieces as precious as the time. This piece is a testament to the love that has been demonstrated by Blancpain’s interest in women for nearly a century, particularly through the creation of watches dedicated to them such as the first self-winding women’s wristwatch (1930) and the smallest circular watch in the world (1956).
